Sunny one day……and cloudy the next.
We love to complain about the UK weather, but it’s not just playtime that’s affected – our children are at risk of missing out on Vitamin D too.
Lots of mums and dads are surprised by just how important Vitamin D is to the development of our children, with many unaware deficiency has been linked to a number of health issues.
Luckily a few small changes can make a big difference, helping our children to grow up strong and healthy.
The UK Department of Health recommends all children from six months to five years receive a daily supplement of Vitamin D.
And serving meals rich in the sunshine vitamin, like oily fish, as well as fortified drinks and foods,
such as some breakfast cereals, yoghurts and growing up milk, will help top up their diets too.
We are here to change that. Take the online test to estimate if your child is getting enough Vitamin D and discover ways to improve their intake.
